Issue Cause
The "Email already taken" message error occurs when a user is attempting to create a new account with an email address that is associated with an existing account.
Most Common Occurrence
This error most often occurs when a user receives a survey invite link and attempts to follow the link to access their new assessment.
Survey invite links will sometimes take you to a signup dialogue box, even if you already have a Deeper Signals account. If you already have an account and you enter your information into the signup dialogue box, this error message will be shown.
Resolution Steps
To avoid this error, simply select the "Login" option, under "Already have an account?", near the bottom of the signup dialogue box. Enter your email address and password and log in.
If you select the login option and login, directly after clicking on the invite link, your new assessment will automatically be added to your existing account.
In summary, if you have been invited to an assessment:
- Click on the invite link, you should see a signup or login dialogue box.
- If you do not have a Deeper Signals account, sign up now.
- If you see a signup dialogue box, but you already have an account, select the login option near the bottom of the dialogue box, under the text "Already have an account?"
- Enter your credentials.
- Your new assessment will be shown on your dashboard.
